WEEK TWO @ The Chook's Nook
The Chook's Nook was closed for a few times that week, due to all the Christmas morning teas & lunches... x but the muffins still flew out of the basket, and Jo's funky & super strong magnets were a hit!

WEEK ONE @ The Chook's Nook was good!
There are homegrown/made preserves, one-off quirky envelopes & stylish bookplates, funky cards, crafty gift-tags, felt flower brooches... and to make Monday more palatable I even baked Lemon Poppyseed Muffins, which were on offer by donation.
So far so good, getting positive feedback from everyone: The Chook's Nook has sparked inquiries and interest, and I have even had requests for more Monday Muffins!
What I would really like to see is more people getting behind and taking part in The Chook's Nook for more goodies and treats on offer. Everyone, put on your thinking caps & get creating!
There really is nothing quite like purchasing directly from someone you know or being given a big bag of fresh homegrown produce, that is surplus to needs, to add to your own larder.

and so it begins...
... the excitement! I went and asked for approval to have a little corner of the work tearoom for my little Chook's Nook - I was all flustered and blushing - but I get to trial out my idea - at least till Christmas - which doesn't leave much time, but... I'm super excited!!!!! and so thankful that everyone so far thinks it's a good idea, too. With approval and blessings - let's go and create!!! *:-)

The concept
The main concept behind The Chook's Nook is a spot for people to sell handmade and for people to buy local! I'm hoping to trial and promote this in our tearoom at work - I'll keep you posted! *:-)
